The 2019 Chevrolet Sonic: Neighbor’s envy, owner’s pride

If you want to buy a car without digging deep into your pocket, the Chevrolet Sonic deserves your attention. The low-cost commuter car is known for its powerful base engine, decent impact protection, and dependability. The one thing that makes the subcompact car stand out from the competition is its roomy cabin. Large doors welcome passengers, making it easier for them to get inside. Recently, Chevrolet launched the 2019 version of the car. The 2019 Chevrolet Sonic is available in dealerships and other parts of the country. We, in this post, take a look at some features that set the 2019 Sonic apart

1. Safety features
One of the reasons why the 2019 Sonic is considered by many as a value-for-money car is the availability of a range of safety and driver assist features. Forward Collision Alert warns you of a potential frontal collision with a vehicle moving ahead of your Sonic. If the system detects that you are trying to change lanes without using a turn signal, the Lane Departure Warning sends out audio and visual warnings. A rear vision camera and Rear Park Assist feature help you avoid bumping into an approaching vehicle while reversing. The 2019 Sonic is also the first car in its class to include 10 standard airbags that are designed to divert the impact away from different body parts in the event of a collision.

2. Technology
The 2019 Sonic is equipped with a number of connectivity features. Every model comes with Chevrolet’s Infotainment System that lets you connect your mobile device with the car’s system, helping you go hands-free. The OnStar Advisor sends directions to your devices and also reads them aloud. A built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi can connect up to seven devices. You can even use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to access select features of your compatible Apple or Android device through this infotainment system.

3. Performance
The 2019 Sonic comes with a feisty 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that makes 138 hp. A 6-speed manual transmission makes the Sonic a truly fun car to drive. Thanks to its efficient engine, the Sonic can run up to 38 miles (highway) on one gallon of gas.
