Performance
The new Chevrolet Equinox is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that boosts power from last year's model, now offering 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that supplies power to the front-wheels. Drivers can also opt for all-wheel drive for maximum traction. The engine delivers enough power to commute around Concord and has a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.
The Equinox has a fuel economy of 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway with the front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive models have slightly lower ratings, with 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
Interior and Exterior
The new Chevrolet Equinox's exterior comes LED headlights, giving you superb visibility during night drives through Gastonia. The Equinox also receives a more aggressive and wider grille. The front and rear bumpers also come with a new design with quad exhaust outlets to give Equinox a sporty aesthetic finish.
The interior of the Equinox is roomy with comfortable and supportive seats with ample legroom for taller occupants. The cabin is versatile and well designed with soft-touch surfaces. It is also quiet, especially when cruising around Rock Hill at high speeds. The interior features cloth upholstery in the base version, but higher trims have available leather upholstery. The new Chevrolet Equinox has a cargo space of 29.9 cubic feet, which you can expand to 63.9 cubic feet by folding the rear seats down.
Technology
The Equinox comes with a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is user-friendly and has quick responses. Monroe drivers can opt for the 8.0-inch touchscreen available in higher trims. Other standard tech features include wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, push-button start, HD Radio™, keyless entry, Bluetooth® and a six-speaker stereo.
Safety Features
Standard driver-assistance features include:

Trim Levels
The Chevrolet Equinox is available in four trims: LS, LT, RS and Premier. The LS trim is the base trim and offers standard tech and safety features with a few available options like rear parking sensors, a power-adjustable driver's seat and blind-spot monitoring. Also available on the LS trim for 2023 are Midnight and Sport editions that include aesthetic changes like black trim, red accents, and unique interior upholstery.
- LT: This trim level offers all the standard features of the LS and adds an eight-way power driver's seat, a 4.2-inch driver information screen and LED Daytime Running Lamps. Other features that are available at this trim level include a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, remote start, a power liftgate and HD Surround Vision.
- RS: The RS adds 19-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Available features include a seven-speaker Bose® audio system and Jet Black perforated leather-appointed seating.
- Premier: The highest level trim comes with leather seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, 18-inch wheels, the Safety Alert Seat system and a Hands-Free Gesture liftgate.
